Read to children every day

On 28 February 2010 Premier Anna Bligh announced a special offer to help encourage children to love reading.

The Queensland Government, in partnership with The Sunday Mail and bookstores, are providing Queenslanders with 10 per cent off children's books.

Look for The Sunday Mail token each week in March to receive 10 per cent off children's books at participating bookstores.

Tokens are valid until 30 June 2010.

Why is reading important?

Research shows that the simple act of reading regularly to children has a positive impact on their learning.

There are a number of resources available and activities that you can do each day to assist your child with literacy and numeracy, including reading.

Find resources to help your child's development.

Give your children a flying start to their education and read a book together today.

Find participating bookstores.

Full terms and conditions

Limit one book per token. Token valid until 30 June 2010. Token not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Available with purchase of The Sunday Mail with original newspaper token at participating bookstores.
